American History I
10/12
The only assignment over the weekend is to make sure the students have their findings from our movie. If they do not turn in what they found on Monday, they will miss out on bonus points. This is not a homework assignment, it is more of an extra credit assignment. Our outline for next week is as follows:
Monday-Sections 1 and 2 in Chapter 5
Tuesday-Section 3 and quiz on Chapter 5 (open book)
Wednesday-Chapter 5 test (open book/notes/worksheets)
Thursday-Begin chapter 6 (homework will be to get a progress report signed)

9/24:
Today I am going to hand out and assign the students' speeches on either a Revolutionary Battle or Person. This will be due next Wednesday (Oct. 3.) The students will present it to the class. I am giving the students the block to begin working on this today. We will also take roughly 10 minutes to review for the map/note quiz on Wednesday of this week (9/26). The students had their review packet and map since Friday of last week.
On Tuesday we will cover Sections 1 and, possibly, 2 notes.
Wednesday after the map quiz we will begin to watch John Adams, episode 2, which correlates with all of Section 2. We will finish the section 2 notes if needed.
Thursday we will continue with John Adams and move into section 3 if time permits.
Friday-The students have a half day-they will be given time to work on their speeches.
Monday (10/1)-Complete Section 3 and begin Section 4.
Tuesday (10/2)-Hand out Study Guide-Allow time to work on Speeches that are due tomorrow (10/3).
Wednesday-Complete Section 4; Begin Presentation of Speeches.
Thursday-Continue Presentation of Speeches, Review for Test.
Friday 10/5-Chapter 4 Test/Finish Presentations

Friday 9/14-Chapter 3 Map worksheet is due. Quiz on the chapter 3 notes. Students received study guide today.
Monday 9/17-Brochures are due. Begin study guide for chapter test.
Tuesday 9/18: Map Quiz/Review
Wednesday 9/19: Chapter 3 Test

9/10-Chapter 2 Test tomorrow. Brochure due 9/17.
9/4-Explorer quiz tomorrow. Students received their study guide on Friday before we left for the weekend.
8/29-There will be a map quiz on Friday. The students received study guides today.
Welcome back! Our first assignment is to get your student acknowledgement sheet and your parental acknowledgement sheet signed. Parents please put your email on the sheet because it is the best way for me to communicate with you. Assignment is due on Weds. 8/29.
